ABOUT

I found my love of Jewellery in Art School 40 years ago. I was taught in what you might call the old fashioned way. I learnt how to properly hold and use a hammer. I learnt techniques I still use today. When I left College I joined a retail jeweller in his studio for a year as an apprentice. It was here that I developed my own style (along with my fledgling philosophy) whilst learning valuable skills from my teacher. I lived, worked and taught in Sydney until I started a family and moved to the Southern Highlands.

Tracy Hopkirk Jewellery is contemporary jewellery that has been designed and made by me in my studio in the beautiful Southern Highlands of NSW Australia. I have been making jewellery for over 35 years and I have been teaching how to design and manufacture jewellery for almost as long. I enjoy the challenges that I face everyday to create something unique; pieces that you haven't seen before. I will use any material be it acrylic, timber, shell, precious or non precious to make a work. I have very high expectations of the level of skill and finish that I put into my work and its manufacture. Nothing leaves my workshop unless it passes these expectations. This is why I give a lifetime warranty on my work, providing the fault is mine and not from normal wear and tear. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any problems.
